Whether or not we want to admit it, we're all going to die one day so my question to you is ...
Would you rather: (a) face it with peace and acceptance and plan for it; or (b) continue to ignore it and leave your family and friends confused and unsure of what to do? If you answered (b) then, my friend, you haven't come to the right place. If, however, you answered (a), let's have a conversation about how I can support you and help you gain clarity and control. Together, let's figure out how you want to leave this world in a way that reflects your values and personality and clearly and compassionately share that with your family and friends so they know what to do when the time comes. Hi, I'm Kim and I'm a registered counsellor and death doula/end-of-life consultant. After working in the legal profession for almost 20 years as a legal secretary and solicitor, I re-trained as a counsellor in 2012 and have a particular interest in grief & loss, trauma and bereavement. Following my mother's death towards the end of 2021, I trained as a death doula/ end-of-life consultant and now combine my legal knowledge with my counselling skills and lived experience to help navigate death and dying, which is a difficult and confronting subject for many people. Sprocket, a cheeky Havanese, is my Chief Companion Officer and Greeter. Like most animals, he has an uncanny knack for knowing exactly when someone needs a bit of extra love and company and is an integral part of both my own self-care and the way I support others. |
